Biocan’s Neutralising Antibody is used as an aid to both identify individuals with an adaptive immune response to COVID-19 (either through vaccination or previous infection) and monitor the presence of neutralising antibodies.

This item comes in 2 different test types: a plastic test cassette and a card test strip. More details below ‘Order Information’.

Biocan produces two types of SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) Neutralizing Antibody Tests: B250C (Serum/Plasma/Whole Blood – including finger prick Cassette) and B250S (Serum/Plasma/Whole Blood – including finger prick Strip).

5 Simple Steps

Step 1

Place the test strip on a clean and level surface.

Step 2

Pipette 30μL of serum, plasma or whole blood (including finger prick) into the sample pad of the test strip or cassette.

Step 3

Add 2 drops of diluent buffer to sample pad of the test strip.

Step 4

Wait for the red lines to appear.

Step 5

The test result should be read between 10 and 15 minutes.

USING THE NEUTRALISING ANTIBODY TEST

Wash and dry hands throughly.

Step 1

Place the test strip on a clean and level surface.

Step 2

Pipette 30μL of serum, plasma or whole blood (including finger prick) into the sample pad of the test strip or cassette.

Step 3

Add 2 drops of diluent buffer to sample pad of the test strip.

Step 4

Wait for the red lines to appear.

Step 5

The test result should be read between 10 and 15 minutes.

HOW TO READ THE RESULTS

Step 1

A coloured band appears in the control band region (C) and in the in the Neutralizing Antibody test band region (T).

Step 2

The intensity of the T line is same or darker than the C (Control) line indicating a negative result.

HOW TO READ THE LINE OF DETECTION

The Readings

A coloured band appears in the control band region (C) and there is no coloured test band (T) or lighter coloured band (T) than C band intensity appearing in the test band region (T), the concentration of neutralizing antibody is more than 12.5IU/ml and test is positive.

The intensity of the coloured band appearing at test region (T) has to be lighter than the coloured band appearing at control region (C) for the test to be positive.

The Biocan Neutralising Antibody test is to be administered by point-of-care professionals only. The test kit itself is used as an aid to both identify individuals with an adaptive immune response to COVID-19 (either through vaccination or previous infection) and monitor the presence of neutralising antibodies.

Store the product at temperature 2-30°C or 38-86°F, and avoid direct exposure to sunlight. The kit is stable within the expiration date printed on the labelling.
